Artist's Statement

Deborah Savage's work is a form of abstract geology recording her responses to the natural and man made environment. Savage investigates rock formations, seascapes, salt lakes and mines. Her layered textured paintings are an analogy for the effect of time on the landscape and the laying down and recording of one's own life experience.
