Artist's Statement
Currently the artist's work follows two threads, the first being reactions
to a Mediterranean journey by sea, the second being a light-hearted exploration
of the birdlife found in local rivers and parks. There is a child like delight
in the artist's enjoyment of vibrant colour. However, in some paintings the
intense colour can also reflect darker and moodier emotions.

Brief
Biography
Ida Killigrew migrated to Australia from Holland as a small child and has since
been settled in Perth. She has a BA Dip Ed from the University of Western Australia
and taught English at high school level. Ida is married and has a family and
completed a Diploma of Art from Claremont School of Art and Bachelor of Arts
(Art) from Curtin University in 2000.
